In a perfect world, computers fire up and run perfectly right out of the box.
This is not a perfect world.

I particularly enjoyed reading up on the author’s experiences with a bad hosting company. I can relate, having run into serious problems with some Italian outfit in 1998.
Mr. Ghazi, the webmaster, had a horrible experience with one hosting company (which he names). The result is that he has come up with a list of ten rules to follow when signing up with a hosting service. The rules are good, common sense.
So browse the site, see if you can find the tweak that will make your life run a little better.
